General labor service. Short story
Labor reform, or universal labor service -what is it? This is a special set of activities of the government of the RSFSR, which were held in the early twentieth century. Its essence was to attract to the obligatory work of every able-bodied citizen of the country.
A bit of history
Military communism gradually spread tothe whole society. This made the maximalists see some prerequisites for the organization of specialized production. With all this they did not insist on military communism as a ruin.
Military communism is a policy in the sphere of the economy of Soviet power. Its main activities include:
- small and large-scale industry (especially its nationalization);
- centralization and power of management over distribution and production;
- prohibition of private trade;
- the card system of money and its supply to the population;
- universal labor service;
- equalization in pay.
The country's withdrawal from the crisis
Private economy, labor on a free-for-allthe earth is not a way out of a large-scale crisis, it is not a way of saving the country. To solve this problem was the introduction of universal labor service in the USSR. We needed a great and great economy of people's labor, a firm and stable government that would be able to carry out this new reform. The Soviet Union banned officials from taking this case into their own hands, the Council of Workers', Peasants' and Soldiers' Deputies was to carry out the reform. Only the people themselves, knowing the peasant life, could form labor service and the framework of human labor that would preserve peasant labor.
Thus, the transition to general processing would be done correctly and gradually, even though this is a very difficult matter that would affect the life of every citizen.
Socialist growth and construction rejectedprinciple of freedom of labor. For the bourgeoisie, such a principle was represented as the freedom of exploitation, and for others as a personal right, freedom and responsibility to be exploited. The principle of universal labor service was to find a comprehensively active and widespread application in life and in deed.
What influenced this contradiction?
This contradiction strongly influenced and justifiedthe opposite of the functions of all state systems, although in reality each of them is similar in some way to another or even to several. Universal labor service is nothing else than self-management and self-organization of the masses at work. At least in the proletarian dictatorship it was so.
The capitalist regime would be strengthened, and powerThe bourgeoisie is strengthened if all industry is mobilized. The same would be the case with socialism with the same changes in its direction. State coercion in the structure of capitalism is a kind of press that deepens, widens and assures exploitation, as well as its entire process. While coercion by the state is one way of building communism in society.
In 1922, a new labor law was passed, which abolishedgeneral labor serviceand introduced a free hiring of labor.
