The widely known Land Rover Defender machine is in every respect worthy, coping well with its main task - to drive through where others would just get up and could do nothing. If there is a need to travel to wild, harsh places, then the best car will be damn difficult to find. However, despite numerous virtues, any Defender has one not enough wealth. Having gone on a long journey into the wild, the car will not be able to ease the life of a person: you will have to sleep on the ground, cook there and do much more.
Here is one enthusiast from Germany decided to recycle the car so that it became something like a full-fledged home on wheels. It must be admitted that it turned out fully, it turned out to be quite fit for yourself, although it should be understood that even after all the modernization done, the car would still not be able to replace a full house on wheels or a camping trailer.
So, the new model is called the Land Rover Defender D-Box. The concept was implemented on the basis of the classic model of an SUV. Mainly, the luggage compartment underwent changes, where it was possible to install a full-fledged residential module. I had to sacrifice part of the spaciousness of the car, but now it has a full bed for two people. Bed dimensions are 125x195 cm.
The machine also acquired a wide additional functionality. Most of the useful things were installed in a special section, which in turn is located under the bed. There you can find a gas stove for two places, two tanks of water of 10 liters each, and a pull-out kitchen surface, which will make the cooking process easier and more pleasant. Several gas cylinders, a backup battery and an electric generator are also stored there.
In all this "hiking" splendor there is another important detail. If desired, the entire set of D-Box can be easily dismantled by the happy owner, with the result that the SUV will become the most ordinary, returning his wonderful luggage compartment.
