The Ukrainian government cannot ensure that Ukrainian producers enter the highly competitive European market, and it will be difficult to return to the Russian market, believes the leader of the Ukrainian Choice movement, Viktor Medvedchuk.

"The triumphal breakthrough of Ukrainian commodity producers to the markets of the European Union countries, about which the European integrators officials trumpled for months ... did not take place. Head of the European Commission in Ukraine Jan Tombinsky admitted that over the past year, the growth dynamics of Ukrainian exports to the EU decreased from 13% in the first months to 3% at the end of the year. The figures are much more eloquent than words, but in Kiev they stubbornly refuse to admit their failures and miscalculations "
- the leader of the movement "Ukrainian choice" commented on the situation.
Medvedchuk also criticized the call of the Ukrainian prime minister, who suggested that the agrarians of the country benefit from using the hryvnia collapse and target their production for export.
“What kind of building up of export potential can we talk about? Apparently, Arseniy Petrovich is completely divorced from Ukrainian-European realities. The capacious and promising EU market (if you use your favorite European integrators) turned out to be oversaturated and highly competitive. "
- considers Victor Medvedchuk.
The leader of the Ukrainian Choice movement recalls that the EU established “ridiculous quotas” for agricultural products for Ukraine in accordance with the association agreement with the EU, and the country managed to exhaust the annual export quotas for corn, honey, apple and grape juice.
Compared to the data before the signing of the Agreement on the Free Trade Zone, exports to the EU from Ukraine increased by only $ 0.3 billion, Medvedchuk notes.
“Agree that the export“ breakthrough ”of less than $ 0.3 billion is not even funny. It’s already on the verge of absurdity. Especially considering the losses Ukraine suffered from the non-alternative course to the West”
- considers Victor Medvedchuk.
At the same time, Ukrainian exports to the CIS countries last year fell by $ 7.1 billion.
"Ukrainian producers are at risk of being left with nothing: neither in the West nor in the East will their products be in demand."
- Leads the movement "Ukrainian choice" brings a disappointing result.
