The resolution should comply with a number of requirements:
- absence of entry or its maximum contraction;
- writing actions with verbs of an undefined form (assign, execute, hold);
- an indication of the deadlines and the date of the document.

In the Russian legislation the resolution refers to the decisions of the chambers of the parliament, which are not taken out for discussion by the second chamber and are not passed on to the president for signature.
